Yamaha launches massive discount campaign
Written by -mIKe-
Friday, 27 August 2010

take_off_to_the_max-1_tiny.jpg Yamaha have announced a landmark promotion designed to give customers the very best opportunity to hit the water on a brand new WaveRunner in time for this summer.

Today is the launch of Yamaha's  "Take off to the Max" promotion with discounts of up to $3,200 on selected models within the 2009 and 2010 model ranges.

This unprecedented level of discount however, has a dual purpose. Yamaha is offering these unbelievable deals to encourage Australian buyers to purchase from authorised Yamaha dealerships.

Yamaha has seen a significant amount of suffering from PWC customers who have purchased grey import skis (craft privately imported from overseas) and then been severely disappointed and financial encumbered when things go wrong. Yamaha Motor Australia’s authorised dealerships are the only retailers who are set up with the equipment, knowledge and factory backing to offer the full range of service and support all Australian WaveRunner owners need to have access to.

Yamaha does not have a world wide warranty policy and customers who purchase outside Yamaha’s official channels are obliged to return to the grey import ski provider for assistance if problems occur. Yamaha has no legal responsibility for skis purchased outside of its Australian supply chain.

Safety Recall - Yamaha GP1300 + VX1100
Written by -mIKe-
Friday, 09 July 2010

GP1300 2003 – 2008 YEAR MODELS
VX1100 2005 – 2008 YEAR MODELS

THROTTLE CABLE REPLACEMENT

AFFECTED SERIAL RANGE: GP1300 2003 ~ 2008 YEAR MODEL

Model code F1G  Primary-ID number range 800101-821399

AFFECTED SERIAL RANGE: VX1100 2005 ~ 2008 YEAR MODEL

Model code F1K  Primary-ID number range 800101-868200

PROBLEM: There is a possibility that the outer throttle cable could corrode and become cracked or kinked. If the outer cable is damaged in this way, it could cause the inner cable (throttle cable) to fray over time from wear. If the frayed inner cable catches on the damaged outer cable, throttle movement can be increasingly impaired, which may eventually lead to the throttle being incapable of returning to the idle position. This could result in an accident with the potential of personal injury or death to the operator, passenger, or bystanders.

ACTION REQUIRED: If you own a model within the affected serial number range listed above and this recall has not been completed please contact your Yamaha Dealer to have the remedy actioned free of charge.

Find a Yamaha Dealer at http://www.yamaha-motor.com.au/dealers/all or contact Yamaha on 1300 593 600

This recall will ensure safe operation of your water vehicle. We apologise for any inconvenience.
