JSW Powersports Charity Ride to Peel Island – Sun 18 Oct 2015
Join us for our Charity Ride Sunday 18th October to raise money for the charity Hear and Say. Hear and Say is one of the leading paediatric Auditory-Verbal and Implantable Technologies (including cochlear implants) organisations in the world, teaching children who are deaf to hear, listen and speak since 1992. To find out more about Hear and Say read our Blog post here.
We have decided that as this ride is in aid of a charity we are going to push further and take the journey up to the beautiful Peel Island. Leaving from The Spit boat ramp at 9am the 56kilometre journey will take us to the Southern beach of Peel Island where we will be serving a $5 BBQ lunch with all proceeds going towards Hear and Say.
We know that this is a longer trip than we have done before and that some of you may be worried about fuel consumption. Everyone should make it there and back on one tank of fuel without problems providing you arrive at The Spit with a full tank. If you do need to fill up, there is a fuel stop 10km west of Peel Island at Raby Bay. Our team will be there to guide you up the Broadwater to our destination, but we ask that you make yourself familiar with the route ensuring no one gets lost along the way.
We ask that all participants register with a $20 donation, helping us to reach our Goal of $1000. All you should need for the ride is a sand anchor for when you arrive at Peel Island and a few bucks for raffle tickets, with the charity raffle to be drawn during lunch.
