BRP RENEWS PARTNERSHIP AS OFFICIAL POWERCRAFT TO SLSA
BRP reinforces its commitment to helping save lives on Australian beaches by extending its partnership with Surf Life Saving Australia until 2018.
Now in the sixth year of their partnership with the volunteer service, BRP has already delivered almost AUD$1.5 million worth of essential lifesaving equipment to clubs around Australia, meaning more surf lifesavers are rescue-ready to save lives on Australia’s coastline.
“Surf Life Saving Australia is a not-for-profit entity that exists only through community donations, government funding, fundraising and corporate sponsorships from companies such as BRP,” said Melissa King, General Manager, Communications & Business Development,
Surf Life Saving Australia. “BRP products are powerful lifesaving tools. They enable surf lifesavers and lifeguards to move around the beach and water quickly. This means patrols and rescues can be performed with greater efficiency and faster response times to save lives on the coast.”
Grégoire Dupont, vice-president and regional general manager for BRP in the Asia Pacific region said: “As the largest volunteer movement of its kind in Australia, Surf Life Saving Australia is an excellent organisation for BRP to support. Our products offer the best performance under demanding rescue conditions and are the most sensitive to the environment in the industry. This latest partnership again reinforces BRP’s commitment to support the community and we are proud to continue to work with Surf Life Saving to make Australian beaches even safer.”
BRP products are currently being used in over 250 clubs around Australia including the Can-Am Commander side-by-side, the range of Sea-Doo personal watercraft including the SAR (Search & Rescue), and Evinrude E-TEC outboard engines. With product innovations like the first on-water braking system for a personal watercraft that enhances safety and manoeuvrability, and with engine technology that produces fewer emissions than any other outboard, BRP products are best suited to the high standards SLSA expect.
