Yamaha major sponsor of 2014 Rip ‘n Ride 7
For the seventh year running, Yamaha WaveRunners has proudly come onboard as the major sponsor of the 2014 Yamaha Rip ‘N Ride which is set to rock the coastal suburb of Cronulla on September 18-20. Renowned World-wide as the biggest surf PWC freeride event on the southern-side of the equator, the Yamaha Rip ‘N Ride is shaping up to deliver the biggest and sickest freeride tricks ever witnessed on Australian shores.
Ozfreeride.com once again provided the forum for RNR7, fostering competitor’s anticipation on the lead up to the annual freeride event. Keeping true with the quality over quantity philosophy, the 100 rider cap has been reintroduced for 2014, with all competitor entry-tickets selling out within a record-breaking 6 minutes 27 seconds on May 6. Booked to capacity with international entries from as far as the USA, Europe and South America, another 50+ riders have joined a growing waiting list in the hope to join the privileged hundred already entered.
“The purpose of great events like the Yamaha Rip ‘n Ride is to provide riders with a platform to perform and showcase their unique talents on their Yamaha SuperJet or chosen PWC in a fun, safe and controlled environment,” said Jason Boal, National Sales Co-ordinator for Yamaha WaveRunner. “It’s not just about the pros though, the event revolves around riders of all skill levels. Rider development workshops operate during the weekend, allowing beginners to mix it with the pros and learn some new tricks.”
As the premier event of the freeride calendar, the Yamaha Rip ‘n Ride has grown in size year after year, quadrupling in competitors since its conception in 2008.
With the 2014 RNR7 destined to be the biggest Freeride event to date, spectators and competitors are in for a treat with big-name aerial titles up for grabs and the legendary presentation after party which is set to award every entry with a sponsor-donated prize; including a brand-new Yamaha SuperJet valued at over $11,300.
